Well, spring break is here and it's been snowing all day. Pretty typical weather for Rochester, however. The weather this week promises to be cold and windy. Not so great for working en plein air, but perfect for studio work, which is how this painting was completed. I am trying to think ahead to warmer days and anticipating getting away to someplace like this.
Creating pastel paintings en plein air throughout upstate New York.
From city scenes around Rochester, the hills of the Finger Lakes and to the shore of Lake Ontario.

Landscape Art
Landscape art help remind us of the special places in our lives.
This is the time of year to think ahead and to consider having a "portrait" of your yard, home or garden done. If you may be interested in having your home or yard done as the subject of a pastel, please email me.
I continue to look for new locations to paint and your suggestions are always appreciated. Send me your ideas!
If you have questions about a particular painting, please feel free to contact me via email at cmsavage31@gmail.com.
And as always, thank you for taking a look.
